GUILD HISTORY

The history of LoE is a very proud one. While many Guilds have sprung up over the years, LoE can rightfully claim to be one of the first and longest running MMO-guilds around that still has the core of its original members.

We were formed in the original Ultima Online servers before the European servers existed. The original core of 8 people still play in the guild today to some extent. From UO we have played through many games, some good, some not so good. Among the lands we have visited, to name a few are Asherons Call 1, Anarchy Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Star Wars, Lineage2,World of Warcraft and Age of Conan. The stories that have been told will have to wait for another time, but suffice to say, over the years we have had many victories and gathered together more friends on each game, until we are what stands before you now, a large gaming community with many personal friendships.
We hope that in the months to come, we can add to the annals of our history with many tales of victory from the frontlines of WAR.

GUILD MISSION STATEMENT

Our main goal in WAR is quite straight forward, we intend to enjoy the game as much as possible, while playing as a competitive, team oriented guild. We will no doubt be looking at some clear goals which will add to the overall experience of the game for our members. We believe the best way to achieve our goals is through our experienced community of players that promote the following ideals.

1. CAMARADERIE

The guild was founded over 11 years ago with many members from the original group still playing, spirited goodwill among our friends is our landmark, our guild is a guild of friends, not of online acquaintances. When we look for new members, we look for people who would be with the guild for the long term and although they may not know some of the guild as well as the old members, through time, we would hope this change. We are not seeking people who like to move to the next big guild, we seek members who wish to be among a group of stable and long established friends

2. DEDICATION

We take our gaming very seriously, it is something we have dedicated time to for many years. While it is not necessary to play every day until the early hours, we would like our prospective members to share our passion for online gaming and try be as active within the guild as reasonably possible. Real life should always be top priority and should be treated as such

3. COMPETETIVE SPIRIT

While we don’t place winning or advancing as a guild above having fun, we recognize that it’s no fun to always be on the losing side. and make no progress. We expect both existing and new guild mates to share in the attitude that promotes serious online competition through teamwork within the guild. While we are not going to be playing until our eyes bleed, we do have plans to become a power within the game.

4. TEAMWORK

Our goal is to create a dedicated online friendship based and team-orientated guild; our members should be committed to placing the interests of the guild above personal achievement or individual glory. While there is nothing wrong with ’soloing’, we ask that people should try go out of their way to help Guild mates and create teams wherever possible. Our main purpose is to be united for the purpose of questing, raiding, guild hunts and of course competing with other guilds in PVP

5. MATURITY

Our guild is a Mature guild, we hold nothing against younger players who can indeed be more mature than their age would suggest. However we have a minimum age requirement for any new applicant of 18+. We would insist that all members maintain a high level of respect for people in the WAR community, both within and outside the guild.

COUNCIL

A council of Officers who are free to act in the best interest of the guild, implementing the day to day running of the guild.

OFFICERS

As we advance throughout the game, Officers may be allocated to certain focus areas, such as Recruitment or PVE/ PVP Raid Leaders and quite probably an alliance leader.

NEW RECRUITS

Applicants for joining the guild will be subject to a 2 weeks trial period. During this time it will be the duty of the Officers to assess if the individual is suitable for the guild based on their general behaviour and general way they bare themselves within the game and guild. At the end of the two weeks period, the applicant is required to post on the forums requesting full membership. Officers will have a short discussion to decide if the applicant should join the guild as a Member. If the decision is ‘no’, then the applicant will be removed from the guild listing without prejudice. Upon success, they will join the Ranks of our guild as a Member.

MEMBER RANKS

Initially (intentionally) the member ranks will be limited to a basic ‘Member’. As we come to learn the mechanics of the game, people will have the opportunity to advance through a ranks system based on in-game mechanics and play.

GUILD RULES AND POLICIES GENERAL CODE OF CONDUCT

Lords of England is based on friendship, fun and teamwork and we expect our members to behave in a mature manner. To protect our reputation, we have a low tolerance for bad behaviour towards other members
The Forums are a vital part of our community, we expect you to check and utilise this service regularly.
We place firm stock in loyalty to the Guild. If you apply to join any other guild while a member of LoE, including alts you will be removed from the guild.

We have Ventrilo voice communications available to the guild, anybody wishing to be considered for membership must be able to participate in Vent, this is essential for Raiding later in the game.
We would ask all members to participate in guild chat, help other members with questing and PvP and keep up to date on what’s happening in the guild.

As a member of this guild, it is expected that you will act as a rational adult and behave in such a manner as to respect the opinions and thoughts of your fellow players. You will treat others as you would expect yourself to be treated and this rule applies to guild members and non-guild members alike. This is a game; however, it is also a place where many of us come to escape the pressure and stress of real World events. We’re here to have fun and enjoy the company of each other - so keep in mind that the object of the game is to have fun and to leave the baggage, stress and drama behind as you log in. Abusive behavior will NOT be tolerated by any guild member. There is no excuse for poor, abusive, crude, vulgar or ignorant behaviour. An isolated incident may be tolerated, but any more will result in immediate removal from the guild. For new recruits, the first incident will result in removal from the guild.

Any members inactive in-game or/and on the website for 30 or more days without prior notice will be set to Inactive rank. Members having been inactive for 100 days without informing a guild officer of coming back will be removed from the guild along with any alts without further notice.

If you are a crafter you should supply guild members with your wares at cost as we are not about making money off the back of one another. However, it is not unreasonable to require some harvesting...

If you have any complaints or grievances about any member of the guild, please speak with the Guild Leaders.

These guild rules and policies might change over time. Be sure to check them on a regular base and keep an eye on the forums since it will be announced in there.

3. Forums and registration

When creating your account please remember that any Hotmail/Yahoo/Msn cannot be used and if a user creates an account with this address there account will be removed without notice, and you will need to re-register. When you have created your account you will receive an email which you will need to confirm before you can post in the PUBLIC section of the forum.

Registration of the forum is mandatory while being in Lords of England. Once you have registered and confirmed your registration, post your application to join the guild inside the WAR Recruitment section.

When you are accepted into the guild you will either be automatically give access to the members section of the forum, if you are not automatically given access you will need to post in the “The Official Members Access and Welcome Thread” linking to your application at which point a moderator will grant you access.
